The concentration of alluvial tin ore is mainly gravity separation
with mainly jigger, shaking table, and spiral chute involved while
sometimes centrifugal separator is involved for some fine tin ore.
Here is some tin enrichment flow sheet to share with you.
Firstly, the raw alluvial tin ore shall be screened into two size
ranges and the specific size will depend on the ore itself. Here
taking 2mm for example, the +2mm ore goes for rod mill to liberate
the tin granules from impurities. -2mm ores will go for jigger for
jigging separation. The first phase jigging is to get the tin to
the largest extent while the second jigging separation is to
upgrade tin as fine selection by removing the intergrowth of
impurities. Concentrate from the second jigging can be final
conconcentrate. Tailings from first jigging and +2mm tin ore goes
for ball mill for further milling and the fine tin granules can be
liberated, and the output from the rod mill will go for tin jig
separation machine for further jigging. The tin concentrate from
the final jigging can be final concentrate while the tailings can
go for shaking table for separation to recover the fine tin.
